Just The Essentials: Vacation Mode!

Hey y'all as most of you know I just got back to my own personal ice box (Alaska) and no I do not live in an igloo, but I do ride my pet polar bear to work most days. (please note the sarcasm). For those of you that aren't following along on social media.... which you totally should be, but than again I may be a little biased because I think I'm a hoot... I was down in Washington visiting some of my very favorite peeps.

On a side note: Washington is my very favorite place in this world, one day it will be my HOME, until then I will continue to sneak off for long weekends every chance I get. I try my best to unplug from social media as best as possible while away.... but lets be real there are just some things that I get to excited about like Daddy's Donuts! Ya thats a real place and its AMAZING if you have the chance please go!!!!! Thats more of an order than a suggestion.

While on Vacation I received so many messages asking about what I do or what I take and eat or don't eat for that matter..... which honestly is not much I don't indulge in while away and the reason for that is..... I don't work out and eat more healthy than not most of the time to restrict myself. I do those things because I love my body and want to reward it for keeping me healthy and alive, but also so that when I travel to new places I am able to indulge in the local ways or just enjoy a bucket of donuts with my favorite little nephew.

Honestly y'all vacation Molly is such a different person and even more of a badass!
(if thats ever possible).

I am very much a runner while I travel for a few reasons. 1. Its free and most times there is not a gym readily available. 2. It is the best way for me to explore my new surroundings and breath in the fresh air. I also practice a lot of yoga and deep stretching. This lets me give my body and mind a break from the gym life and heavy lifting so that I don't have a burnout.

While I do eat treats and things I don't eat daily back at home the 3 main travel goodies that always go with me and help my stay on track no matter where I am are these babes below and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you snag some up for yourself during everyday life or travel adventures.

1.  Probiotic Restore Ultra. Get It Here.
2. Night Time Recovery. Get It Here.
3.  AM Apple Cinnamon Bar. Get It Here.

The Probiotic Helps support healthy intestinal function and the ability to absorb nutrients from food and supplements. Take your recommended amount before breakfast and one before bed.

Night Time Recovery Aids in the recovery and repair of fatigued muscles after exercise and helps the body endure more demanding workloads before the onset of fatigue, as well as promotes a more restful nights sleep. Which helps insanely with jet-lag.

The AM Bar is the perfect meal on the go for when you are out site seeing and start to get a case of the hangry. I also love these because they are perfect for on the go life which is me everyday not to mention they are jam-packed with goodies for your body: High in 20 vitamins and minerals, 15 grams of protein, 190 calories.

Not only is the Bar Molly approved, but don't take it from me. This bar is so yummy it is also kiddo approved. I almost didn't get to have any, but getting to share treats with this little makes it perfectly okay with me.

Want to know more about the amazing benefits of these three beauties.
Please send me a message and lets talk!

BIG ones, LITTLE ones, Daily ones, or even event ones. I just find that for me and my life my brain works best with all my friendly routines. These routines also apply to food and all of my nutritional wellness.

Don't get wrong I love to be spontaneous also. I just like to do it during designated spontaneous times. :)

The Whole Dang Gummy Zoo!

FIRST off I just want to say how tickled pink excited I am for this one... I have been playing around with ideas on how to use one of my favorites and also daily health product in my ever racing mind for a bit now and more than thrilled to be able to finally present this little zoo into the ML world.. also let me just pre apologize now for the picture overload you are about to embark on.

... but first let me set the mood ... (insert cheesy romance music here!)

Two of the most important things to know about me are this:

1. I LOVE TO SNACK, basically my whole life is just one giant snaccident.

2. I LOVE GUMMY BEARS! Growing up as a kid I was not super big on sweets, I practically hated Ice cream, was not a fan of cakes or pies, or even chocolate for that matter... but gummies were a different story. Let me tell you I could eat bags and bags. It wasn't until I got older and decided to be more conscious of what I put in my body that I realized just how bad they were for me. The back of that label is not a feel good one.... so I broke my own heart and gave them up. Well y'all I'm bringing back the gummies minus all that yucky junk that comes along with them.

Alright y'all Lets do this and craft up some yummy and very much good for you gummies!

❤ I think I shall call him Henry ❤

Here is what you will need.

  • 1 small pack of Jello (8.5g). I used Line for this one.
  • 1 pack / tablespoon of unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 stick of REHYDRATE. Click Here for Rehydrate I used fruit punch. This is the most IMPORTANT part.
Here are just a few of the amazing and healthy benefits and why I'm in love!!! Rehydrate Helps replace minerals and electrolytes lost through sweat and supports recovery after a workout using vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, Sustamine® and a blend of important electrolytes, while also helping to prevent cramping during and after exercise.

Lastly you will need a mold/tray and dropper like the one I have pictured above. I got mine from Amazon Click Here or you can just pour into a bowl to set.

Now to get down to business. The best part is this only takes about 5-ish minutes.
(my attention span is short just like my height, which is why I need just about instant gratification in the kitchen)

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of water into your sauce pan. Set to low heat.
  2. Add your package of jello, unflavored gelatin, and your stick of REHYDRATE.
  3. Mix on low heat until all are dissolved into liquid, then remove from heat.
  4. Using the dropper add the liquid to your tray.                                                                                  Pro Tip: try to avoid getting bubbles in your dropper.
  5. Place in fridge for 30 minutes or until solidified.

Once they are hard you can pop them out from the tray as pictured above and enjoy!

TADA! Lions. Penguins. Chimps. Bears. Worms. Basically its a gummy zoo up in this kitchen.

A little birdy once told me that these little wild
creatures go great with a dab or two Reddi Wip,
but like I said that is just word on the street.

Have fun and enjoy this healthy zoo.

Sweet Treat Nice Cream Bowl

In case y'all didn't know this very pale beauty is from Alaska. I was born and raised here, which means that anything over 60 degrees outside is just way to hot to function... and I mean anything at all, Basically my brain melts and I can't even form a logical thought.

For those of you that have been keeping up with the weather up here it has been in the high 70's and low 80's even a few days for the past few weeks now, which is just way to much heat for me. I have not been able to eat my favorite and yummy I might add go to prep foods.... which has left me to get crafty in the kitchen (with what little time I do spend in there). I came up with this super yummy protein packed nice cream/smoothie bowl using my always favorite ready to drink protein.... which by the way is pretty bomb dot com on its own when in a hurry.

Whats great about this for me personally and probably some of y'all will love this part also... is that this recipe plays double duty roles... you can class it up to be a meal or a sweet treat when you want desert. TRUST ME when I say this: I utilize both ALL the time, but hey it is good for you which means no shame or food guilt EVER.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1/2 scoop chocolate muscle gain Click Here for Muscle Gain
handful of ice (you can add more for texture)
3/4 chocolate ready to drink protein  Click Here for Ready To Drink Protein
1/4 cup egg whites

Once you have all the yummy stuff tossed in together just blend that baby up and enjoy!
I like to add a few whole berries to the top for presentation purposes because ya know being fancy and all.

*** Pro Tip: Toss what ever bowl you are going to use in the freezer 5-10 minutes prior. Just trust me on this one :) ***

I hope y'all enjoy this summertime treat!

Mason Jar Over-Night Oats.

Hey Y'all Beautiful Babes.....

Ever since I posted about my normal breakfast and "what I eat" posts a few months ago I have been getting so many messages/questions about it and requests for it so I figured while I am just waiting in the airport I would put a post together for y'all on it....(I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures).

First and foremost y'all know that I am super lazy and all about convince when it comes to my meal prepping.... Well at least those of you that have been following me for some time know that, if you are new to the ML family you will learn fast. SIMPLICITY is KEY with me in the kitchen. Now even growing up the kitchen and I have never really been good friends... so if any of that resonates with you, then this is the quick and easy breakfast post you have been searching for.

I personally like to prep all my meals for the whole week at a time.... again saving time and super easy to just grab and go throughout the week, because lets be honest Monday morning comes and I drive to work and I say self.... this week we are going to have it together and we are going to be organized and great.... then Wednesday morning comes and i have no idea what the heck I'm doing and i just hear laughter in my head.... so its pretty safe to say that the rest of the week is a blur.

Prep:

1. Get your mason jars ready to go... if you don't already have some you can pick them up in a pack from just about anywhere. I got mine from Wal-Mart.

2. Put your portion of dry oats in the bottom.

3. Scoop in your portion of fat free greek yogurt.

4. Add in my secret ingredient.... which is shredded carrots. I usually do about a small handful. This will add volume to your meal while your tastebuds think its just more oats.... and you get a servings of veggies in there!

5. This is where I add in the portion of frozen blueberries.

6. Then I add in 1 packet of Splenda & a dash of pink himalayan salt as a personal preference.

7. Once you have all your yummy goodies in the jars put the lids on and pop em in the fridge.

8. Lastly the night before you want to enjoy and eat it put either 2 tablespoons of water, milk, cream, or what ever you fancy in and then stick it back in the fridge.... I personally use water for mine.

The next morning...TADA!!! you have a yummy, quick, and easy healthy breakfast.

I hope you and your belly enjoy this as much as I have!
